NBA Rumors: Pacers & Suns Could Swap Centers In Sign And Trade
The Indiana Pacers are likely to be one of the busier teams on the trade market this summer, picking up where they left off at the trade deadline. Word has circulated that center Myles Turner is back on the trade block, which means that the Pacers would need to replace him at center.
Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer is reporting that "league personnel have also whispered in recent days about a potential sign-and-trade of (Deandre) Ayton to Indiana for Myles Turner."
The fact that Ayton and Turner share the same agent (Bill Duffy of BDA Sports Management) lends some credence to this rumor.
With Ayton being a more adept scorer in the post, he may be a better fit for their star guard Tyrese Haliburton. The two are also closer in age (23 and 22), and make sense as a pairing going into the future for Indiana.
Turner, 26, has one season left on his contract, at $17.5M.
