NBA Rumors: Pelicans Make Guard Available On Trade Market
The New Orleans Pelicans are coming off a very good season. And will be adding Zion Williamson to a strong core next year (they hope). But they aren't done fiddling with their roster.
Word is that the Pelicans are making guard Devonte' Graham available on the trade market, and the Washington Wizards are interested.
Windhorst says the Pelicans are shopping Devonte’ Graham, mentions Washington as a trade possibility — who have the 10th pick in this year’s draft.

Graham, however, just had his worst season since his rookie campaign four years ago. For the 3rd straight season, his points, assists, rebounds and 3-Pt FG percentage dropped. To be fair, he was dealing with a hip injury over the last three months of the season.
As a free agent, he was brought in to New Orleans last year to supposedly help space the floor, as well as having the tough task of replacing Lonzo Ball at the point. He's still owed $36.3M on that deal over the next three seasons, according to Scotto, but only $2.85M is guaranteed for the 2024-25 season.
Current backup point guard Jose Alvarado is a better defender than Graham, and played well in the playoffs.
It's possible Graham could find his way to Washington or another new team as soon as tomorrow's NBA Draft.
