NBA Rumors: Rockets and Sixers Talking Trade For Daryl Morey Favorite
His name was frequently on the trade block back in February, but the Houston Rockets' demand of a first-round draft pick seemed to cool off the talks. Now Eric Gordon is closer to being on the move than ever, as the Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers are in detailed talks.
The #Sixers are trying to acquire Eric Gordon and using Matisse Thybulle as an asset, even attempting to get a third team to participate, according to multiple league sources. The Portland Trail Blazers are willing to make a straight-up deal for Thybulle, sources says.

Sixers GM Daryl Morey is more than familiar with Gordon, from their days together in Houston. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey, Morey is offering defensive specialist Matisse Thybulle in a trade for Gordon, but it's the Portland Trail Blazers who are attempting to secure Thybulle. Morey, therefore, is attempting to arrange for a 3-team deal.
The 33-year-old Gordon averaged a career-low 13.4 points for the Rockets this past season, but he also stepped-up his three-point shooting to a 7-year high of 41.2%.
The Trail Blazers have been tied to a number of defensive wings in recent days, with OG Anunoby and Luguentz Dort being mentioned. Thybulle, however, could end up being their man.
