NBA Rumors: Top 3 Free Agent Power Forwards Available
Miles Bridges
The Charlotte Hornets' restricted free agent was upset that he wasn't given a big rookie extension last offseason, but he went out and had a breakthrough year, largely increasing his value. He put up 20 points per game, seven more than his previous high, while adding seven rebounds and 3.8 assists, also career-highs.
Rumors have emerged that the Hornets might not match a max offer, so it's a possibility that he could be available for the taking. But The Athletic's John Hollinger still figures those max offer sheets won't be easy to come by, and that he'll re-up with Charlotte for 4-5 years in the $25M/year range.
PJ Tucker
Even going into his age-37 season, the Miami Heat forward can still defend several positions and knock down corner 3s with the best of them (41.5% from behind the arc this past season). He opted out of his $7.3M deal yesterday, but it's hard to see the Heat letting this grizzled veteran go.
Otto Porter
As noted by John Hollinger, Porter's market value is suppressed by the fact that he's been dogged by injuries which have limited him to playing in only 162 games the past four seasons, compared to 140 games missed.
But he can defend the 3 or the 4, and he shoots threes at a high rate (39.8% for his career), which should have plenty of teams interested.
