NBA Rumors: Trail Blazers Have Eyes On These Two Superstars To Pair With Lillard
It's been a long-held belief that Damian Lillard needs—and wants—to pair with another superstar to take the Portland Trail Blazers to the next level. Word is that the Blazers are diligently looking into trades to land one.
According to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, he says sources have the Blazers targeting one of Bradley Beal or Zach LaVine to put alongside Lillard.

Lillard and Beal became fast friends during the US Olympic Team days last summer, says O'Connor. Beal has a player option with the Washington Wizards, and it's possible he could opt out and go to Portland as a free agent, or force the Wiz into constructing a trade that would get him there.
LaVine is a free agent this summer, and he will be looking at all of his options. Portland has plenty of spending money available under the salary cap , and they could simply sign the Chicago Bulls high-flyer outright.
Other names O'Connor says to keep an eye on as the Blazers do their due diligence: Miles Bridges, Jerami Grant and John Collins.
