Celtics Sign Veteran Sharpshooter
The Boston Celtics continue to load up for another big run next season, as they'll be adding another sharpshooter to the arsenal, with the signing of 13-year veteran Danilo Gallinari to a two-year deal for the mid-level exception ($13M total).
Once the San Antonio Spurs finalize the expected release on forward Danilo Gallinari, his preference is to join the Boston Celtics upon clearing waivers, sources tell ESPN.

The soon-to-be-34-year-old Gallinari has a career 38% mark from three-point range, but since 2019, it's actually 40.8%. And just imagine the looks he'll get on a team where defenses need to deal with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
Overall, Gallo's scoring has dropped a tad over the last few years, at 11.7 points per game last year, along with 4.7 rebounds for the Atlanta Hawks. Nevertheless, he should be able to thrive off the Celtics' bench.
Gallinari + Brogdan without giving up one rotation player for a team that just went to a Finals.

24 hours into free-agency, & hard to find a team who's done a better job than Boston.
