Charania adds that this puts him at $270 million for the next five years, all the way up to the 2026-27 season.
In addition, the Blazers guard will now become one of the top earners in NBA history at $470 million career earnings.
This new deal just goes to show how Lillard isn't running away from the grind.
The Blazers seemed to be heading toward a rebuild when they traded Lillard's long-time backcourt partner CJ McCollum. But Portland remains adamant that it intends to build around the 6-time All-Star.
The Blazers acquired Jerami Grant from the Detroit Pistons this offseason and is still looking to add more pieces to build a championship contender around Lillard.
