NBA Rumors: Knicks Turned Down Insane Ask By Jazz For Mitchell
Trade talks between the New York Knicks and the Utah Jazz over Donovan Mitchell are continuing, but according to the latest report by Tony Jones of The Athletic, the asking price is astronomical.
REPORT: The Jazz-Knicks deal was “close” on Tuesday night, but the Knicks ended up declining.

While reporting that a deal was "close" earlier this week, Jones says the Jazz apparently asked for an insane package of Immanuel Quickley, Obi Toppin, Quentin Grimes, Miles McBride, and 6 (SIX) 1st-round picks. The Knicks, not surprisingly, turned it down.
Boomer Esiason on New York sports radio WFAN this morning, called that ask "ridiculous."

Mitchell is from New York, he'll be throwing out the first pitch at the Brooklyn Cyclones minor league baseball game on Saturday, and his father works for the New York Mets.
But Esiason said of the Jazz trade request, "the Knicks have gotta be realistic. And...that's not a realistic package right there. It's ridiculous."
He then went on to throw in his own twist on a Knicks package: "The only reason that I would even consider doing that is if they took Julius Randle off my hands."
