NBA Rumors: Pacers Working On Myles Turner Trade With Western Conference Contender
Myles Turner's name has circulated in trade rumors for a couple of years now, so this is nothing new for him. But the latest report from ESPN's Brian Windhorst has the Indiana Pacers strongly considering either sending Turner to the Phoenix Suns in a sign-and-trade deal for restricted free agent Deandre Ayton, or even just signing Ayton outright.
The Pacers are interested in signing Deandre Ayton to an offer sheet or even negotiating a sign-and-trade involving Myles Turner, per @WindhorstESPN.

"But holding everything up is the Suns' negotiations for Kevin Durant. ... Ayton may have to move on and do his own deal." pic.twitter.com/cSciehuI1p
“The Indiana Pacers are seriously considering giving [Deandre Ayton] an offer sheet. They’re also interested in negotiating a sign-and-trade with [Ayton] potentially involving Myles Turner to be his replacement at center.”
Windhorst says it could all be done by the end of the week.
But he goes on to add that "holding everying up is the Suns' negotiations for Kevin Durant (which also includes Ayton). ... Ayton may have to move on and do his own deal."
Either way, Turner's days in Indy could be done. If the Pacers were to sign Ayton outright to an offer sheet, and the Suns don't match, that would likely still mean an impending trade for Turner, as that would be one starting center too many in Indiana.
Does Phoenix even have the leverage to demand Myles Turner in a Deandre Ayton sign-and-trade?

Indiana can screw everyone over by giving DA a max offer sheet, and still finding a separate deal for Turner if they want
Lots of intrigue in Indiana, indeed.
