NBA Rumors: Warriors Take Stance On Young Assets In Any Kevin Durant Trade Package
As the Kevin Durant trade drama continues to drag on into the summer, it's been noted that the Brooklyn Nets' asking price is through the roof. Their rumored request from the Minnesota Timberwolves was astronomical.
The Golden State Warriors were said to have poked around to feel out the asking price, and they certainly have a plethora of young, talented assets. Jordan Poole, Jonathan Kuminga, James Wiseman and Moses Moody all fit into that category. But according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Warriors "would be reluctant to give up all these assets in a Durant trade proposal."

The fact that Steph Curry hasn't shut down the talks yet means something. But the Warriors, of course, are coming off another championship, their 4th in the last 8 years, and they have no need to blow things up to bring in a Durant — even if he was the back-to-back Finals MVP for them a few years back.
So what happens if an offer to satisfy the Nets' huge demands doesn't materialize by training camp? “I’d tell Durant we’re not trading you,” one former NBA general manager told HoopsHype.
With teams like the Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors still working on some way to bring KD in, it looks we're going to be in for a long summer of Durant still being a Net.
