New York Knicks Sign Free Agent Center
The New York Knicks have made a move to shore up their center position, signing free agent Isaiah Hartenstein to serve as backup to newly-re-signed Mitchell Robinson.
It's a 2-year deal for $16M, fully guaranteed.
Fun fact on Isaiah Hartenstein:

Opponents shot only 47.5 percent on dunks and layups this past season when Hartenstein was the closest defender, the second-best figure in the NBA.
As noted by Knicks beat writer Fred Katz, Hartenstein had very nice impact on the defensive end of the floor, as opponents shot the second-lowest mark from the field (47.5%) on dunks and layups when he was the closest defender.
But it's his ability to pass in the post and to be a floor-spacer that allows him to be a nice contrast to Robinson. He didn't take a lot of 3-point shots, but when he takes 'em, he makes 'em. At a 47% clip.
The 23-year-old averaged 8.3 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 63% in 17.9 minutes last season for the Los Angeles Clippers.
