Serge Ibaka Re-Signs With Eastern Conference Contender

He didn't get to play a huge role for the Milwaukee Bucks after coming over at the trade deadline, but 13-year veteran Serge Ibaka has agreed to re-sign with the team for the 2022-23 season.

Ibaka posted averages of 7 points and 5.3 rebounds in just under 18 minutes per game in his 19 games with the Bucks, but his playoff contributions fell off the board, as he was out of the rotation, and played less than 4 minutes per game.

The 32-year-old is a three-time All-Defensive player, and was a key contributor to the Toronto Raptors' NBA title run in 2019, and established a new career-high with 15.4 points per game in the following season with Toronto.

He signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2020 and has seen his production and minutes decrease since then, partly due to back injuries.

He'll serve in a backup role for the Bucks.
