Spurs Signing Forward To Massive 4-Year Extension
Who says the San Antonio Spurs aren't ready to spend big money? After trading away All-Star Dejounte Murray, the Spurs have locked up breakthrough forward Keldon Johnson to a big 4-year rookie extension.
San Antonio Spurs forward Keldon Johnson has agreed to a four-year, $80 million contract extension, Klutch Sports’ CEO Rich Paul and agent Lucas Newton tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

The deal is worth $80M, and at age 22, he'll still be back on the free agent market at the young age of 27. The extension kicks in for the 2023-24 season.
This past year, the third-year player posted career highs of 17 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists, while shooting 40% from three-point range.
He was the 29th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, a pick the Spurs received from the Toronto Raptors as part of the Kawhi Leonard trade in 2018.
He's nicknamed "Big Body Johnson" for good reason.
