Surprise Team Signs Otto Porter Jr.
Playing his first relatively healthy season in four years, Otto Porter Jr. was a strong contributor to the Golden State Warriors' return to championship status this season, and now he's parlayed that into a two-year contract with the Toronto Raptors.
Aside from joining one of the best well-ran franchises, what made committing to Raptors even more enticing for Otto Porter Jr. is that his wife is from Toronto. https://t.co/mC6vefRrb3

As noted by Yahoo's Chris Haynes, who broke the news, Porter Jr.'s wife is from Toronto, obviously factoring into the decision for him. At 6'8", and with a 7'1" wingspan, he fits right into the Raptor mold, becoming the 8th player on the roster to stand between 6'7" and 6'9" with a 7-foot wingspan, while playing solid defense.
Pascal Siakam: 6-9 with a 7-3 wingspan.

OG Anunoby: 6-7, 7-2 wingspan.
Scottie Barnes: 6-9, 7-2 wingspan.
Precious Achiuwa: 6-8, 7-2 wingspan.
Chris Boucher: 6-9, 7-4 wingspan.
Khem Birch: 6-9, 7-1 wingspan.
Thad Young: 6-8, 7-0 wingspan.
Otto Porter Jr: 6-8, 7-2 wingspan.
He's an accomplished 3-point shooter, something the Raptors were also looking to improve upon. He shot 37% this season, and has a 40% mark for his career.
The Raptors are Porter's 5th team in the last six years, but injuries have played havoc with most of those seasons for the 29-year-old vet. He managed to play 63 games for the Warriors this past season, his most since 2018.
