Veteran Guard Signs With Timberwolves
Veteran guard Austin Rivers is signing a one-year deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Free agent guard Austin Rivers has agreed on a one-year deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, his agents Dave Spahn and Aaron Mintz of CAA Sports tell ESPN. Rivers played 67 games for Denver a year ago, where new president Tim Connelly signed him in consecutive seasons.

Rivers has spent the last year with the Denver Nuggets along with new Timberwolves president Tim Connelly.
He arrived in Denver in April 2021 following Jamal Murray's ACL injury. The Nuggets initially signed him on a 10-day contract and then later secured him for the rest of the 2020-21 season.
Denver brought him back the following campaign with a one-year deal. Now he moves to a Minnesota squad that has made quite a splash this offseason.
The Timberwolves acquired All-Star center Rudy Gobert from the Utah Jazz to pair him alongside Karl-Anthony Towns in the frontcourt.
Rivers should give them a reliable veteran 3-and-D presence off the bench to support Anthony Edwards and D'Angelo Russell.
