The Golden State Warriors have lost another member of their championship team — this time, on the coaching side of things. Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Leandro Barbosa is now headed to the Sacramento Kings as an assistant coach under Mike Brown.

The 39-year-old follows Brown, whom the Kings hired as their new head coach during Golden State's recent NBA Finals run, to the northern side of California.
Barbosa re-joined Golden State as a player development coach in September 2020. The Brazilian Blur won an NBA championship with the Warriors as a member of their 2015 title squad.
Barbosa joins a long list of Warriors who left this offseason following their 2022 NBA championship win. As mentioned, Brown went to Sacramento and became its next head coach.
Gary Payton II secured his bag and signed a three-year, $28 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers. Otto Porter Jr. went north of the border and signed with the Toronto Raptors. And Nemanja Bjelica left the NBA and signed with a Turkish team.
