McClung had a great Summer League stint with the defending champions and was one of the more exciting players throughout Vegas. The 23-year-old put up 13.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists and shot 45.6 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from three.
Shams added that McClung's deal, however, is non-guaranteed, but will give him a chance to vie for Golden State's 15th roster spot.
The Warriors are reportedly expected to enter training camp with a vacant roster spot and could determine their final man just right before the regular season.
They went the same route last season with Gary Payton II, who eventually became a key piece in their 2022 NBA championship run.
