"A Lot Of Pessimism": Kevin Durant Trade Unlikely To Happen In Near Future
It doesn't seem like a Kevin Durant trade will go down anytime soon. According to Ian Begley of SNY.tv, there is "a lot of pessimism" about the Brooklyn Nets trading the 2-time NBA Champion in the near future.

"A couple of people familiar with the Nets dynamic and their search of potential trades of Kevin Durant said there was some pessimism, a lot of pessimism about the idea of a deal getting done in the near future here," Begley said in his report.
He adds that part of the pessimism is due to the lack of a third or fourth team willing to get involved in order to facilitate the deal.
The Durant trade talks have stalled over the past week. Previous reports claimed that the Nets and the Celtics discussed a potential deal, with Boston sending over a package centered around All-Star guard Jaylen Brown.
KD shocked the basketball world when he requested a trade from the Nets just prior to the start of free agency.
A month later, this situation is still very fluid, as Begley reported. This will likely end up dragging through the remainder of the offseason and there is a possibility that Durant enters the 2022-23 campaign still donning a Nets jersey.
