Boston Celtics: Biggest Questions Entering Training Camp
With training camps opening in a month's time, and most of the major offseason moves having been made (apologies to Donovan Mitchell), it's time to take a look at where teams across the league stand as they get set to gather for the first time in a few weeks.
We'll begin our 'Biggest Questions' series in the Atlantic Division, with the Boston Celtics.
The team answered its biggest question last season of whether Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown can co-exist, and in fact, flourish. With their run to the NBA Finals, that was was answered with an emphatic "yes." What's to be answered in 2022-23?
Big Question #1: Can Malcolm Brogdon stay healthy?
The Celtics added two huge pieces in Malcolm Brogdon and Danilo Gallinari this offseason, without subtracting from their main core. But most specifically in Brogdon's case, will he play enough to make an impact?
The 29-year-old guard can be a playmaker and a shooter. But he played just 36 games last year for the Indiana Pacers, and he hasn't played more than 56 games in any of the past three seasons. In fact, he has only cracked the 60 mark once in his six-year career. If he can stay healthy, he can be a big-time add for Boston in the backcourt. But that is the big question.
Big Question #2: How hurt are Jaylen Brown's feelings?
Now that the Kevin Durant trade saga is over around the league, will there be any hurt feelings for players whose names were prominently mentioned as trade bait? And there was no more prominent name mentioned than Jaylen Brown.“League sources have insisted for weeks that the Celtics have not had any real discussions of substance with the Nets about Kevin Durant, and they’ve communicated with Jaylen Brown about the situation frequently.”

Brown was hot happy when the rumor first surfaced, and he made it known on social media.
Can Ime Udoka and Brad Stevens convince Brown to buy back in fully? That is another big question.
