NBA Insider Shams Charania reports that guard McKinley Wright IV and forward Mouhamadou Gueye have been signed to training camp deals and will compete for roster spots when camp opens in less than six weeks.
Wright, the 23-year-old point guard, was on a two-way contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves last season, but played in just five games and averaged less than four minutes per game. He showed out, though, for the T-Wolves' G League team in Iowa, where he averaged 19.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 7.7 assists in 18 games.
At Summer League this July, Wright averaged 8.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.2 steals per game.

Gueye is 24, and a 6'10" power forward with massive length, with a 7'3" wingspan. He played one college season at Pittsburgh before turning pro this year.
The Mavericks have 14 players on guaranteed contracts, and a two-way spot still to fill, so both McKinley and Gueye have a shot at landing a job.
