NBA Rumors: Kyrie Irving's Absurd Contract Demands Revealed
Kyrie Irving has said and done some odd things during his career, so maybe we can overlook the sheer insanity of two rumored requests he made in his contract negotiations with the Brooklyn Nets.
According to Fox Sports' Ric Bucher, "I'm told he wanted his new contract to guarantee he wouldn't have to play more than 60 games in a season and would not have to play any back-to-backs, which he apparently referred to as 'inhumane'.”

Given Kyrie's history, is anyone actually doubting that this is true?
Bucher added, “[Nets owner] Joe Tsai has already shown he’s willing to play hardball with Kyrie by taking a max extension off the table almost immediately.”
Irving has played just 103 games over the last three seasons, taking time off for various 'personal reasons', vaccination mandates, and whatever else distracted him at the time.
The Nets clearly have no interest in keeping Irving for the long term. And it appears that there is no team in the league willing to put up with Kyrie's act. Except one. And that is an ongoing story as well.
