NBA Rumors: Lakers Are Willing To Bend; Are The Nets?
The Los Angeles Lakers are interested in Kyrie Irving. And the Brooklyn Nets are willing to listen. But are the Nets buying what the Lakers are selling? NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski shares some intel:
“They have 2 real assets to put out there to do a significant trade... The Lakers would be willing to do that in a Kyrie Irving trade... Myles Turner & Buddy Hield they’ve not been willing to give up 2 firsts.”@wojespn on LA's 2027/29 first round pickspic.twitter.com/nFt0aZdQZh

All signs point to the Lakers now being willing to put both their 2027 and 2029 first-round draft picks in a package including Russell Westbrook to land Kyrie. According to Woj, "but that's not something the Nets have been interested in."
If they can't land Irving, Wojnarowski says the Lakers feel they'd be better served in hanging on to those picks going into the season, "if something else arises at another point in the season, they kind of still have some ammunition to go out and do a big deal."
That means that any trade with the Indiana Pacers involving Buddy Hield and/or Myles Turner would not include those two first-rounders, according to Woj.
