Nuggets Bringing A Familiar Face Back Into The Fold

He always was known as having a high basketball IQ, and is high-up on the NBA's all-time assist leaders. Now, former Denver Nugget point guard Andre Miller is going to put that leadership to work, as he's being brought back into the fold in the Nuggets organization.

Miller will be the new coach of the Nuggets' G League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Gold.

The 46-year-old retired after the 2016 season, following a strong 17-year career. He spent six of those seasons in the Mile High City, compiling a mark of 12 points and 6.7 assists there, right around his career marks.

But perhaps his most incredible statistic is the fact that he missed a total of THREE games to injury over those 17 seasons.

Miller is 11th all-time in career assists in the NBA, and will bring his 'cerebral' game to the sidelines now, beginning his coaching career.

As Adrian Wojnarowski has notes, he is the only NBA player to have 16,000 career points, 8,000 assists and 1,500 steals without an All-Star Game appearance.
