Crowder had been suggesting all throughout the offseason that his time in Phoenix had run its course, posting less-than-cryptic comments on social media. His most recent one, on Sunday, came pretty much simultaneously with the announcement that the Suns were working on a trade.
ONE MUST SEEK WORK WHERE HE IS WANTED.. WHERE HE IS NEEDED.! I AM THANKFUL FOR WHAT THESE PAST 2 YRS HAVE TAUGHT ME.! NOW I MUST TAKE ON ANOTHER CHALLENGE WITH CONTINUED HARDWORK & DEDICATION.! FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO CLOSED THE DOOR ON ME…. THANK YOU! 99 BACK SOON.! 🥷🏾🤫🤐

As he so often does, Crowder shouted his thoughts, in full caps:
"ONE MUST SEEK WORK WHERE HE IS WANTED.. WHERE HE IS NEEDED.! I AM THANKFUL FOR WHAT THESE PAST 2 YRS HAVE TAUGHT ME.! NOW I MUST TAKE ON ANOTHER CHALLENGE WITH CONTINUED HARDWORK & DEDICATION.! FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO CLOSED THE DOOR ON ME…. THANK YOU! 99 BACK SOON.!"
There are a number of teams that could use a veteran leader like Crowder; he's had several substantial playoff runs in recent years for teams like the Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Utah Jazz, and of course the Suns.We ran through some of the most likely trade destinations for the 10-year veteran. Spanning from return engagements with already-proven contenders, to teams on the rise with hopes of rising to that level.
