Luka Doncic Delivers a Scoring Explosion, Makes EuroBasket History
Luka Doncic put on a historic clinic at EuroBasket 2022 as he led Slovenia with a 88-82 win against a France national team led by Rudy Gobert on Wednesday.
The Dallas Maverick's superstar exploded with a 47 point performance, along with an efficient shooting of 15-of-23 from the field. His virtuoso led to the second most points scored in a single game in EuroBasket history.
The 23-year-old also added to his point total with seven rebounds, five assists, and four steals as he led his country to the top spot in Group B.
Round of 16 is next for the European squad as they are looking to use this match as momentum to ignite their team's chances of further success down the road.

Doncic overtook Nikos Galis's 46 point record, a historical performance standing since 1983. The current record still stands at 63 points since 1957 by Belgium's Eddy Terrace.
Slovenia will face off against Belgium in their next round on Saturday, August 10th.
