NBA Rumors: 2 Teams Linked To Carmelo Anthony
It's through an unfortunate circumstance that he just might get a shot at it. The Boston Celtics are in need of a shooter now that they've lost newcomer Danilo Gallinari to a knee injury for some length of time.
Carmelo Anthony has been considered a potential signee by the Boston Celtics in recent days following Danilo Gallinari's suffered torn meniscus in his left knee on Saturday, I'm told.

Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson reports that the Celtics are interested in Melo as a possible Gallo replacement. There are some trouble spots with this rumor, of course, as Anthony's lack of defense and general ball-stopping activity on the floor doesn't quite mesh with coach Ime Udoka's system.
The New York Knicks have also been rumored to have Melo on their radar, for a reunion. He played 6 1/2 years at Madison Square Garden, and averaged 24.5 points there, in his prime. But that run—and generally, his 'prime'—ended in 2017.

Anthony averaged 13.3 points and 4.2 rebounds with the Lakers last season, shooting over 37% from three for the third straight year.
