Saddiq Bey, Killian Hayes and Isaiah Stewart are all heading into their 3rd season this year with Detroit, but the team has now picked up the 4th-year team options for all of them, for 2023-24.
In addition, last year's No. 1 overall pick, and top 3 finisher for Rookie of the Year Cade Cunningham, the centerpiece of the Pistons' future, has had his 3rd-year team option picked up, also for '23-'24.If things go as planned, with the additions of Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duran, the Pistons can watch this talented young group grow together for years to come.
Cunningham finished his rookie season with averages of 17.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.6 assists; Bey blossomed into a 16 point scorer, with 5.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists; Stewart started 71 games at center, with 8.3 points and 8.7 rebounds; Hayes averaged 6.9 points and 4.2 assists.
Toss in the surprise late-offseason addition of scorer Bojan Bogdanovic, and this could be a team to watch as soon as this season.
