The Best Player In The World According To Giannis Antetokounmpo
It was NBA media day, which means basketball fans got a lot of tasty soundbites from their favorite stars. Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo served an intriguing one that might stir up some discussions among NBA fans. During the Bucks' media day, the two-time NBA MVP suggested that Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is the best player in the world.
"I think the best player in the world is the person that's the last one standing."

That is a tremendous amount of respect coming from The Greek Freak. Antetokounmpo did give a sound explanation as to why he anointed Curry as the best player in the world.
According to the 27-year-old, the Warriors guard holds that title simply because he was the last man standing when the 2021-22 season concluded.
Giannis did admit he had the same thoughts about himself when he won the title and the Finals MVP in 2021. And to be honest, it's a good assessment to go by when having these kinds of discussions.
Curry was asked about Antetokounmpo's high praises, and he reciprocated those by sending the same flowers to his fellow two-time MVP.

Golden State reclaimed its spot atop the NBA world after taking down the Boston Celtics in six games in the NBA Finals.
Curry also finally brought home the only award missing from his trophy case: the NBA Finals MVP award.
