7’4” Wembanyama Puts On Insane Display At Vegas Showcase
No one has ever seen anything like this. At 7'4", 18-year-old Victor Wembanyama is a generational talent who will undoubtedly be the first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. He has a skills package that's never hit the basketball court before. And it was ALL on display in his first-ever game on U.S. soil, taking on the G League Ignite.

This kid brings the ball up like a point guard, has handles like Kevin Durant, can get to the rim like Giannis Antetokounmpo, and can shoot it from long distance (dare we say, like Steph Curry?). Is he already the GOAT?
Victor Wembanyama might be the GOAT draft prospect

Not since LeBron James has there been a prospect with this much hype. But he's showing he's worthy of it. It's easy to see why Danny Ainge has been hoarding draft picks for the Utah Jazz. The tankathon is definitely ON.

The tanking in the NBA will be glorious to watch this season. The DNPs in April will rival my all-time favorite, when I was covering the Bullets:

“It was a great experience, a great experience,” Wembanyama said. “I can’t wait to do it again. I know we’ll do it again in two days, and probably for the rest of my life.”
Meanwhile, the consensus No. 2 pick in next year's draft, Scoot Henderson, playing for the Ignite, had 28 points and 9 assists of his own. The French-born Wembanyama praised Henderson's game, and almost felt sorry that he'll be taking the No. 1 pick from him:
“He's really a great player. If I was never born, I think he would deserve the first spot. ”
