Head coach Steve Kerr insisted that the incident, in which Green viciously slugged his teammate Jordan Poole in the head at practice last week, is "really serious stuff," but decided that an undisclosed fine is the punishment for now.

"It's been an exhaustive process... We feel like this is the best way for us to move forward. It's never easy no matter what decision you make in a situation like this. This is the biggest crisis we've ever had since I've been coach here. It's really serious stuff."
Kerr is confident that Poole is ready to forgive and forget and that played largely into the decision to bring Draymond back now. “We know that [Jordan's] fine,” Kerr said. “We know he’s ready to move forward. We know he’s willing to get back on the court with Draymond.”
Green will rejoin the team tomorrow and is expected to play in the Warriors' final preseason game on Friday.
