Grizzlies Lock Up Forward With Multi-Year Deal
The Memphis Grizzlies have locked in another exciting young piece of their future, agreeing to terms on a four-year extension with fourth-year power forward Brandon Clarke.

A 26-year-old Canadian-born product, Clarke gets $52M over four years starting next season, $50M of it guaranteed. He averaged 10.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game last season, right around his averages in each of his three seasons in the league. Clarke will be earning $13M per year.
I think Brandon Clarke's deal is a really great value for Memphis, especially where the cap is going. $13M AAV is basically MLE money in a couple of years.

It also sets a floor for Grant Williams, who I think is a bit more valuable than Clarke is. Deadline is <24 hours away.
Monday at 5pm is the deadline for teams to sign extension-eligible players, or they'll become restricted free agents after the season.
With fellow big man Jaren Jackson Jr. recovering from foot surgery early in the summer and not yet ready to return, Clarke's role on the team takes on even more importance to start the season. He's only started 21 of his 181 games with the Grizzlies, but that could change in the early going.
