Lakers Sign G League Defensive Player Of Year, Waive 2 Others In Flurry Of Moves
The Los Angeles Lakers have juggled their training camp roster with four moves on Saturday, waiving two players while signing on two others.
Gone are Dwayne Bacon and Javante McCoy, both placed on waivers.
Coming into camp are guards LJ Figueroa and Shaquille Harrison.

The 6'4" Harrison has played parts of the last five seasons in the NBA, with five different teams. He's averaged 5.4 points and 2.4 rebounds in 15 minutes his 175 games total.
In the G League, Harrison won Defensive Player of the Year last season, while averaging 19.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.9 assists in 7 Showcase Cup games with the Delaware Blue Coats last year.
Figueroa, 6’6”, went undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft, and appeared in 32 NBA G League games with the Santa Cruz Warriors last season, averaging 16.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals in 27.6 minutes per game.
The 24-year-old old also helped lead Leones de Santo Domingo to the league title in the Dominican Republic last year.
With the flurry of moves, the Lakers' camp roster remains at the full 20-man limit.
