Mavericks In "Advanced Talks" To Sign Point Guard
The Mavericks are in advanced talks with former Denver PG Facundo Campazzo on a one-year deal, league sources say.

Dallas still has a 15th roster spot uncommitted; Campazzo appears increasingly poised to seize it barring an unforeseen Mavs move before Opening Night rosters lock.
Campazzo spent the past two seasons as a backup with the Denver Nuggets, averaging 5.6 points and 3.5 assists in 20 minutes per contest.
The Mavs have an open 15th and final roster spot, and the highlight-reel passer Campazzo appears to be in line to grab it. Dallas, of course, has most of their ballhandling duties spoken for by Luka Doncic and Spencer Dinwiddie, but Facu can certainly run the point when they're off the floor, or even be able to take some of the playmaking chores off of Luka at times, freeing him up to roam the floor off the ball.
Interestingly, however, despite the report from Stein, Mavs GM Nico Harrison said on Dallas radio this morning that he's "not really worried about us having a third ballhandler."
Mavs GM Nico Harrison on @dfwticket about ball-handling depth: "I'm not really worried about us having a third ball handler. ... Before we got Spencer, we were rolling, and it was just the two ball-handlers, if you will. The magic for us happened before the trade."

Not sure where this leaves the Campazzo negotiations, but we'll update this as it becomes available.
