Rockets Ink Young Guard To Massive Deal
The Houston Rockets have reportedly inked guard Kevin Porter Jr. to a four-year, $82.5 million extension, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Charania adds that only the first year of the deal is fully guaranteed, where Porter will make $15.86 million. The deal includes trigger dates after Year 1 and gives Houston discretion to release Porter at any point of the contract.

The lefty guard came to Houston in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team he spent his rookie season with.
Porter appeared and started in 61 games for the Rockets last year and played the point guard role for much of the season. He averaged 15.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists while shooting 41.5 percent from the field.
