Suns Waive 5th-Year Veteran
Always thought Frank Jackson was a solid player. I personally hope he gets another chance in the league. https://t.co/qWpsHd9xWo

The 6'3" Jackson was with the Suns on a non-guaranteed contract, but is now looking for work once again. Head coach Monty Williams feels for Jackson, who came up short in his battle for one of the final spots on the roster. “That’s a hard spot. Because the 15th guy is typically someone who’s one step in and one step out," Williams said.
“Those guys know what they’re signed up for. They come with a different kind of intensity. They’re playing desperation basketball every second they’re in the game.”
Jackson raised his game to a nice level the past couple of seasons with the Detroit Pistons, averaging 10.2 points in just 20 minutes per game over the course of those two years.
However, his 3-point shooting took a stark downturn last year, dropping from 40% in 2020-21 to just 30.8% this past season.
He spent his first couple of seasons in the league with the New Orleans Pelicans.
He has shown enough as a depth piece in the backcourt to earn another job with a team looking for about 10 points off the bench.
