Portland has waived forward Devontae Cacok, swingman Wes Iwundu, and guard Brandon Williams. Cacok and Iwundu were on non-guaranteed deals, while Williams was on a two-way.
The 23-year-old Williams was the only one of those three who has any significant time with the Blazers, acting as a starter down the stretch last season. He averaged 13.4 points, 4.6 assists and 3.6 rebounds in 30.1 minutes per game over those final 18 appearances. But it wasn't enough to earn him another shot this season.
The other bit of business the Blazers have taken care of off the court is picking up the 3rd-year option on Keon Johnson.
The Trail Blazers are picking up the 2023-2024 option for guard Keon Johnson, sources tell ESPN. Johnson played 25 minutes a game after arriving in trade with the Clippers last season. He was the 21st pick in the 2021 draft.

And on the court, Portland got an exciting look at the potential of Shaedon Sharpe, their No. 7 overall pick in this year's draft. After a slow start to the preseason in their first two games, the 19-year-old lit it up big-time on Thursday night with 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting.
