Video: Giannis Antetokounmpo With His Hilarious Plans For Retirement
Giannis Antetokounmpo is without a doubt one of the most recognizable stars in the world of basketball. And that's what makes his plans for his eventual retirement (many years from now) so hilarious:
"When I retire from this game I want to disappear. I want to go somewhere where they're not going to know me... I want to be like Tim Duncan. Where the hell is Tim Duncan?!" 😅

When I retire from this game I want to disappear. I want to go somewhere where they're not going to know me... I want to be like Tim Duncan. Where the hell is Tim Duncan?!
At 6'11", 240 pounds, and recognized worldwide for his back-to-back NBA MVPs and NBA Finals MVP, we're going to go out on a limb and say that Giannis "disappearing" will not be an easy feat to pull off. However, he told SiriusXM NBA Radio he seems to have found one place that might just do the trick:
"I went to Sweden two years ago—nobody knows me... I made this YouTube video with one of my friends. I was in the streets yelling 'Nobody knows me over here! Yeah!' And everybody was turning around and looking at me like, 'who the hell is this guy?'"
To be fair, in the YouTube clip in Sweden, he did have his face covered. But, yeah, he's still 6'11".
Apparently, that taste of freedom gave the Greek Freak a taste of how he'd like his post-basketball career to go.
I want to play the game, and then you forget about me! You don't talk about me.
From that SiriusXM sound bite, perhaps the Milwaukee Bucks superstar can plan for a career as a comedian when his hoops days are done. But then again, that would put him back in the spotlight.
