VIDEO: Watch James & Davis Cringe At Westbrook Ill-Advised Shot
The Los Angeles Lakers had a chance to win their first game of the season Sunday night; they were up by one point with 30 seconds to play, with the ball. But Russell Westbrook decided to chuck up an ill-advised mid-range jumper with 17 still on the shot clock. It was a brick, and LeBron James and Anthony Davis can be seen cringing at the shot:

Both LeBron and AD raised their palms in the air in disgust as the shot went up, with the expected result, clanking off back rim.
What happened next was a Patrick Beverley flop that the referee literally announced to the arena as "a dive", which led to a Damian Lillard three for the lead, and an eventual Trail Blazers win.
After the game, Westbrook said he was thinking "2 for 1" as the reason for chucking up the shot. Russ went 4-for-15 in the game and is now shooting 28.9% from the field this season, .083% from 3-point range (1-for-12).
LeBron was asked about the ill-advised late Russ shot by the media. He wouldn't take the bait.

"With the lead in the final minute, do you support going for the 2-for-1?" was the question. "I feel like this is an interview trying to set me up to say something," responded LeBron. "I can tell that you guys are in the Russell Westbrook category right now...
"You guys can write about Russ and all the things you guys want to try to talk about Russ. I won't do that... That's not who I am."
LeBron himself actually had a chance to tie this game with a buzzer-beater, but his tough turnaround one-footer was short, and the Lakers fell to 0-3.
