76ers Bad Luck Continue With Joel Embiid Injury

The Philadelphia 76ers continue to deal with bad luck as superstar big man Joel Embiid is set to miss the next couple of games due to a left mid-foot sprain, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Embiid suffered the injury late in the fourth quarter of Philadelphia's 112-109 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.

Teammate Georges Niang fell on the Cameroonian's leg, sending Embiid to the floor. The 5-time All-Star writhed in pain for a couple of minutes but did stay on the court to help the Sixers compete to end the game.

Philadelphia is already down two stars with James Harden and Tyrese Maxey sidelined with their respective injuries.

Harden suffered a tendon sprain in his right foot earlier in November and was given a month-long recovery timeline. He will be re-evaluated in a couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, Maxey was diagnosed with a small fracture in his left foot last week and will also be re-evaluated in around two weeks.
