Bane, who's missed the last two games, has a Grade 2 sprain of his right big toe and will be re-evaluated in 2-3 weeks. He will hopefully be able to return by the first week of December.
The timing couldn't be worse, as the third-year player has exploded this season for the Grizzlies, averaging 24.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists, while shooting 45% from downtown, on his way to a sure-fire All-Star season.
One silver lining for the Grizzlies overall is that Jaren Jackson Jr. is finally about to return for the first time this season (he is questionable, however, for Tuesday night.)
I kept saying that Memphis just had to keep their heads above water until they got Jaren Jackson Jr. back.

They did better than that at 9-5, but now they have to keep it up for a few more weeks while Desmond Bane is out.
Dropping in the West, even a little, is hard to make up.
Unfortunately, it's one key player in, and one key player out.
The Grizz are 9-3 when Bane plays this season, and 0-2 in the two games he's missed.
