NBA Rumors: Gilgeous-Alexander "Frustrated With Losing"; Trade Possibilities Resurface
Another season, another string of losses for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Word out of OKC is that the losing has gotten to its star player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and that he might be looking at greener pastures.
"The rumblings about Gilgeous-Alexander possibly being on the move won’t be going away anytime soon," writes Sam Amick of The Athletic.
'You keep hearing that Shai is frustrated with the losing, and so I think that’s the Toronto thing that we’ve all heard about with their interest in Shai this summer,' said a front-office executive.
The Toronto Raptors, SGA's hometown, have long been known to have interest in the 24-year-old guard. He even spent this past summer playing under Nick Nurse in the coach's other gig as head play-caller of the Canadian national team. It seems like a natural fit.
But if Gilgeous-Alexander ever confirmed he wanted out of OKC, the Raptors would have to contend with plenty of other suitors. "Quite a few teams are clearly monitoring this situation," says Amick.
However, after going 46-108 over the past two years, SGA has thus far publicly maintained that he likes the direction of the Thunder.

Back in the summer, one year after signing his 5-year, $172M extension with OKC, Shai insisted, "I know what I signed up for when I signed a 5-year extension... and I don't think we're gonna be losing for much longer."
So far, the losing has continued this year, as they've dropped four straight games and are sitting at 4-7 on the young season.
Gilgeous-Alexander is off to a superstar start, averaging 31.6 points, 5.6 assists, 4.5 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.5 blocks.
