Charlotte Hornets coach Steve Clifford—who was a coaching assistant for Nash and the Nets last season—said he's invited Nash to come to Charlotte to hang around and "spend a few days with us and kind of watch and give me his thoughts on things."
The Hornets are off to a 3-6 start, tied with Nash's former team near the bottom of the East. An extra set of eyes certainly couldn't hurt.
Nash was fired four days ago by the Nets, in the middle of the latest Kyrie Irving fiasco, and sporting a 2-5 record at the time. He'd spent 2+ years coaching the Nets, a team constantly embroiled in the offcourt shenanigans of Irving, Kevin Durant, James Harden and now Ben Simmons.
Congratulations to Steve Nash on getting away from that disaster… Got hired as a Head Coach for a bunch of guys who needed a baby-sitter instead.

Although the Hornets are off to a slow start, they have been without their All-star point guard LeMelo Ball all season, due to an ankle sprain.
