Update Revealed On Josh Primo Affair
The Josh Primo case was an ugly affair that the San Antonio Spurs wanted to get out of their system as soon as possible. That seems to have been accomplished as The Athletic is reporting that former team psychologist Hillary Cauthen, along with the Spurs and Primo “have agreed to resolve” Cauthen’s lawsuit.
Primo, the former first-round draft pick, was released last month by the Spurs after Cauthen alleged that the 19-year-old exposed himself to her as many as nine times during therapy sessions. The psychologist then sued both Primo and the Spurs over the alleged incidents.
The Spurs have also announced that as a result of the resolution of the case, they have “decided to collaborate with Dr. Cauthen and other experts in an effort to review and improve our workplace processes and procedures.”

Primo was the 12th overall pick by the Spurs in the 2021 NBA Draft and was seen as a promising young player. He had just had his 2023-24 contract picked up by the team just a few weeks before the incident blew up and he was released. He had played four games this season, averaging 7.0 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.3 rebounds.
