ESPN Insider Drops Trade Rumor On Player While Sitting Right Next To Him On Set
One thing about still-active NBA players making appearances on network broadcasts is that they never know what could come out of an analyst's mouth. Like on Friday, when Insider Brian Windhorst dropped a rumor about Danny Green—while Green was sitting right next to him on the ESPN set.

Green was acquired by the Grizzlies in the offseason from the Philadephia 76ers, and has been out all season with a torn ACL. He's on a $10M expiring contract. For Windhorst, that makes him a pretty good tradeable piece for the Grizz. And he wasn't shy to tell Green to his face.
"The Grizzlies have upward mobility: they don't have their whole team... they have extra draft picks, and they have tradeable pieces, and this is awkward," said Windhorst as he looked at Green, "sorry to say this Danny.. But he has an expiring contract, and I'm not sure where you're knee is... but if the Grizzlies are looking to upgrade, will they (make calls) about Danny Green and a draft pick?"
"I do think you'll be hearing your name, I'm sorry to say, in trade discussions."
For his part, Green, the three-time NBA champion, wasn't fazed. "I'm not shocked. At this point in my career, I hear my name often."
He also noted that his knee is improving, and he hopes to return this season.
