Shocking Development With Hornets & Miles Bridges
Miles Bridges is supposedly still facing the NBA's disciplinary hand for his domestic violence incident this past summer. Nevertheless, a shocking report today has the Charlotte Hornets and the restricted free agent "making progress" on a new contract.
The Hornets and RFA Miles Bridges are in talks on a new deal, per @wojespn.

Bridges pleaded no contest to a felony domestic violence charge last month. If he were to sign with a team, the NBA has the right to suspend, fine, dismiss or disqualify him from the league, per @Baxter. pic.twitter.com/015ynsdDmH
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Hornets and Bridges "are gathering traction in talks on a new deal, and optimism exists that an agreement could come in the relative near future." Woj then later added that "the sooner sides can reach a deal, the sooner Bridges can seemingly start serving an NBA suspension expected to be handed down for his role in an offseason domestic violence case. Bridges plead no contest to a felony charge in November."
The "felony charges", by the way, that Bridges faced for the incident with his girlfriend in late June, included "child abuse under circumstances or conditions likely to cause great bodily injury or death."
Not the best of looks for the Hornets, and there's no question that the NBA will be stepping in with a significant suspension before the ink is even dry on any new Bridges contract.
