Dallas Mavericks Declare Luka Doncic Out for Saturday's Game Against Utah Jazz
The Dallas Mavericks will be without their superstar guard for at least one game. The team officially declared Luka Doncic out for Saturday's matchup with the Utah Jazz due to an ankle injury.
Doncic suffered an ankle sprain a little over three minutes into Thursday night's 99-95 win over the Phoenix Suns. He has been described as day-to-day.Luka Dončić (left ankle sprain), Maxi Kleber (right hamstring tear) and Christian Wood (left thumb fracture) will all miss tomorrow night's game in Utah.

Doncic has been the unquestioned centrepiece of the Mavericks this season. His 33.0 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game all lead the team, and his 38.2 usage rate ranks second in the NBA behind only Giannis Antetokounmpo's 38.4. Every game Doncic sits in will be a major obstacle for the Mavericks to overcome; they've lost all five games he has missed so far this season.
The Mavericks are 26-24 and sixth in the Western Conference. Following Saturday's game, they host the Detroit Pistons on Monday and the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday.
