Indiana Pacers Set Record Straight On Myles Turner's Future
Last month, Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle was asked about all the trade rumors surrounding center Myles Turner. He was quite clear that he wasn't the least bit interested in trading Turner. But even now, after the team has signed the rim-protecting, floor-spacing big man to a two-year extension, the questions are still out there. The Pacers would like to set the record straight.

Indiana president of basketball operations Kevin Pritchard said, flatly, “We don’t sign players to trade them. We signed Myles to be here.” And the big man himself added his two cents (of which he can afford): “I’m not going anywhere.”
The Pacers officially announced the Turner extension today, thus prompting the still-nagging questions of whether they'd still consider trading him.
"He's off the trade block," came the response once again. Pretty clear.
At his press conference announcing the signing, Turner heaped praise on the Pacers: "I have such a strong belief in this organization and in this city...this is a huge factor into my decision."
