NBA Rumors: D'Angelo Russell Linked To Eastern Conference Contender
The Minnesota Timberwolves have faced a tumultuous season thus far, and for some reason, as always, D'Angelo Russell has taken a lot of the heat. There are some rumors, however, that "the Heat"—as in Miami Heat—would be interested in trading for him.
D’Angelo Russell, no stranger to trades, once again finds himself in a fluid situation.

"The Heat have in fact registered interest in Russell, a source told Yahoo Sports, but a direct deal for Kyle Lowry would appear unlikely."

The rumored deal that's been suggested would be a straight-up swap of point guards—Kyle Lowry for D'Lo. But that's not looking likely.
As for Russell, Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports says the time is nigh for the T-Wolves to deal him:
He is no stranger to the trade chatter that’s preceding this year’s Feb. 9 deadline. Word among league personnel of the Wolves’ openness to moving Russell has only persisted since this summer’s Murray flirtations. Russell is in the final season of a four-year, $117 million agreement, and there was little progress for any contract extension with the Timberwolves this past offseason, sources said, making him a natural trade candidate this winter.
“Yeah, it’s my life,” D'Lo told Fischer of being aware of the trade rumors. “That’s it. Just be conscious of it.” He warns teams not to underestimate him.
“You either take advantage of me and my ability, or f*ck up the opportunity with me. It’s as simple as that.”

“You either take advantage of me and my ability, or f--k up the opportunity with me. It’s as simple as that.
“I’m an Alpha as well, you know what I mean? And I feel like I’m better than a lot of shooting guards and I’m better than a lot of point guards.”
No matter how this unfolds, it sounds like Russell will land confidently, and firmly on his feet. Like a wolf.
