NBA Rumors: Suns Eyeing 3 Prime Point Guard Targets

37-year-old Chris Paul has played in only 27 of the Phoenix Suns' 48 games this season. And when he does play, they're 12-15. The team must be looking to the future, as they're rumored to be interested in three point guard targets at this year's trade deadline.

According to NBA Insider Marc Stein, the Suns have their eyes on Terry Rozier, Immanuel Quickley and Fred VanVleet as potential trade targets.

Two of those three are readily available at the deadline, per reports. The Charlotte Hornets are looking to trade several veterans as their season continues to spiral out of control, and Rozier is certainly one of them. He's averaging a career-high 21.4 points. He signed a 4-year, $96.3M contract with the Bugs before last season. Any team taking him on would be responsible for two more years and $48M after this season.

Toronto Raptors veteran Fred VanVleet is an impending free agent, if he exercises his player option, which he definitely intends to. The former NBA champ will be looking for $30M+ average annual salary, so any team acquiring him must be ready to pony up.

Quickley, however, appears to be unavailable, as the Knicks have made it clear they are not interested in trading the up-and-coming young star guard.
