Report: Anthony Davis Return Now Days Away

Just one day after Los Angeles Lakers head coach Darvin Ham said Anthony Davis is progressing "very, very, very well", Laker fans get even better news, as ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports that the big man's return is coming next week.

"Anthony Davis is, as we speak right now, potentially a week away from returning. He's going to continue the ramp-up process, go through a couple of full-fledged practices, full court, and it'll be all about how his body responds the next day.

"If everything continues to go the right way, he will be back playing for the Lakers next week at Crypto.com Arena and be with them for that entire road trip."

This is certainly great news for the Lakers, obviously, and jibes with Ham's comments this week.

Davis has been out for over a month with a stress injury in his foot, and has missed 17 games. The Lakers have treaded water in his absence, going 8-9.

In 25 games this season, AD is playing at an MVP level, averaging 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds and 2.1 blocks, while shooting 59.4% from the field.

Word was circulating that upon his return, coach Ham will try an all-big frontcourt of Davis, LeBron James and Thomas Bryant.
